Grammy-winning pianist and composer Alex Brown, lauded by The New York Times for his "crystalline touch and a worldly approach," seamlessly blends jazz, classical, world, and contemporary influences. A longtime member of Paquito D’Rivera’s ensemble, he has performed with artists that include Imani Winds, Yo-Yo Ma, and Christian McBride. Brown’s compositions span orchestral, big band, and film scoring, including collaborations with Cynthia Erivo, Chicago Jazz Orchestra, Kendrick Scott, Harlem Quartet, and Armando Manzanero as well as a recently commissioned Suite for Oboe. Brown’s albums Pianist, The Dark Fire Sessions, and Island to Island  (with Victor Provost) highlight his expansive style.
